This Sunday Morning Jazz offering comes from Jazz Great Dave Douglas. Not sure how this one will set with Jazz Purists. With the High Risk quartet Dave embraces elements of Electronic Music, synthesizers, loops, samples, electric percussion and bass tones that will give your sub woofer a work out. Some critics have applauded this experiment stating ..."Dave Douglas' blending of Jazz & Electronic Music blurs the line between the two so that there is no distinction which form he's really playing." Personally I always have enjoyed musicians who try to expand the musical landscape. Have an open mind and give this one a listen.

justdaves notes on the show:

The date of the concert was determined by checking www.setlist.fm. The only reference I could find for a Westwood One In Concert with Saxon in 1983 on vinyl was at www.discogs.com. They have a listing for a Pre-FM vinyl with Saxon and Quiet Riot. The show number was Westwood One In Concert #IC-83-19-Y. I am not positive that this file set came from that show since no show number, cue sheet or label scans were included with the files.
