Anybody who has followed this blog for a while knows I have a deep love and respect for musicians who push the boundaries of music to the edges. Nils Petter Molvær's use of electronics (ie samples, loops, effects, dubs, sub woofer pumping bass tones, and even turntables on this recording) makes for one genre expanding experience. Nils Petter Molvær's music will be appreciated not only by Experimental Jazz fans but fans of Post Rock, Dub, Progressive Rock, and Krautrock as well.

I downloaded this from BigO and they split "Aziza Dance" & "Walkin' The Walk" to make it easier to download from their site. The recording was originally uploaded as three tracks. This is an amazing sounding recording and one fantastic performance. Dave Holland is no stranger to those of you who have been following The New JDP for a while and we recently introduced you to Chris Potter's sax playing. The combination of the two makes for a must have recording for all Jazz enthusiasts.
