This is a much better sounding version of the Boston show than the one circulating on the net, downloadable at The Ultimate Bootleg Experience. I haven't seen this one yet on any blogs. Anyone who has the Boston 1979 show really should upgrade to this one. The other is a little muddy, while this one the high end is nice and audible. The only thing is that this one is slightly edited. The DJ comments have been removed but not one bit of musical content is missing. I will be keeping my old copy for my collection but from now on this one will be my go to listen.

I downloaded this copy from Lossless Best at https://search-lossless.com/. It's a great resource for CDs from all sorts of artists. To find bootlegs you have to sift through a lot of commercially released material but I have found quite a bit there. Also some of the CDs they have there are some very hard to find items. I don't really condone the downloading of commercially available content, but most of us don't have time to crawl through the musty bins of old LPs or used CDs. I love doing it, as well as record conventions (we have some real nice ones every year here in/near Detroit, Michigan).

The 24bit flac is a large file set so it has been divided into 2 parts. You must have both parts to unzip them.

Two awesome Quintets and two awesome performances. Milt Jackson & Lou Donaldson are two legends that should be known to all the Jazz fans who visit here. If you don't know them this recording is a great way to be introduced. My complements to the recorder, this is a great listen! Also you will actually have new Jazz for Sunday morning (which I haven't done in a while sorry). This one is available in 16bit, 24bit and MP3 so everyone can get the encoding of their choice. Personally if it's available in 24bit it's what I take because it could be made into an audio DVD, but to each his own.

The 24bit flac had to be split into 2 parts because of it's size. You will need both files to extract the contents.

Finally a stand alone version of the Earth, Wind & Fire set from California Jam 1. It was only available in an incomplete set from the radio broadcast of the complete concert. This soundboard recording sounds awesome for the it's age. It comes from the private collection of a California collector. From the story told by the uploader this collector had to have been a technician at the show. The soundboard recording also had ambient sound mikes on the stage. All my fellow Funk fans you want this one!

A nice sounding recording from Anathema's Silent Enigma Tour. This is during Anathema's Gothic Doom phase. The Death Metal vocals are now gone as well as founding lead vocalist Darren White. Vincent Cavanagh will be the bands lead vocalist for their career. Vincent's vocals on this recording remind me of the "clean" vocals used by Tomas Gabriel Fischer's on Celtic Frost's Into The Pandemonium album. Anathema would take a turn towards Progressive Rock in their future releases.

A nice sounding soundboard from Jethro Tull's Benefit Tour of The United States. The show even includes an early version of "My God" which would be on Jethro Tull's next album Aqualung. There is some tape hiss but the recording is over 50 years old (I think that math was right). Anyway this show, if not part of your collection, should be if your a Tull fan!
