"I Want You" hasn't been in a set since 1978
I was a major Kiss fanatic in my teen years. I had every album, a lot of memorabilia, and had been to a few shows. One of my 1st was in 1976 at Cobo Hall during the tour to promote Kiss Alive. When I heard the band was going to be at Cobo Hall for the Creatures Of The Night Tour I was ecstatic. When I saw the add it said special guest The Plasmatics and floor seats were 12 dollars US. When the show came and Ace wasn't in the band I was pissed there was no announcement but thought Vinnie Vincent did a pretty good job. I enjoyed the show and the Creatures Of The Night album as well. I thought it was a great return to form.
The Vinnie Vincent era didn't last too long and the Spinal Tapish replacing of guitarists began. There was a running joke amongst my musician friends that it was hard forming a band in the 1980s because Black Sabbath took all the lead singers and Kiss had all the lead guitarists. Vinnie Vincent actually never signed his employment contract with Kiss so never became a member of the group. That of course made it easy to get rid of him when the union had soured. Vinnie wanted a percentage of the group, which was never given to any replacement members. After Peter Criss & Ace Frehley left, Paul & Gene retained control of the band together. Even when Peter and Ace returned they had no say in anything.

Robby Krrieger and his friends run through some of Robby's solo material as well as some Doors classics. I don't know how many Robby Krieger bootlegs there are but I haven't seen many. This recording does have some his to it, which seems to come from Robby's equipment some how. At the beginning of the show Robby says they have been experiencing technical difficulties. As for the performance, this is really good show that Doors fans should definitely have. I personally love the fact that "Skip" Van Winkle is playing keyboards for him. "Skip" Van Winkle was a member of the Michigan Rock duo, Teagarden & Van Winkle, that was responsible for the great hit song "God Love And Rock N' Roll". They also served as Bob Seger's band for the Smokin' O.P.s Tour, so Motor City Boy makes the big time backing Robby Krieger!

Total time for this is over 80 minutes, so it won't fit on a single CD.
3 LP set, 5 sided, 6th side is blank
There is another Phil Collins Captured Live! show, numbered CL 1684, that may be a rebroadcast of these tracks. That show was broadcast on May 14, 1984 and is supposedly sourced from the Warner Theater, too... Last night of the "Hello, I Must Be Going" World Tour
I really don't need to tell you this is a great listen. It's a great encoding and a fine show too. Rosebud likes Phil's solo work a little more than I, but I will admit the guy can write Pop songs that people will eat up and make platinum. This Pre-FM catches Phil Collins leading his awesome band as he starts to dominate the Pop charts both solo & with Genesis.

I have been a fan of Anthrax every since I heard their debut album Fist Full Of Metal. My friend Metal Mike played it for me shortly after it's release. I went out and bought my first vinyl copy (which I wore out and replaced once then bought the CD). I was a little worried when I heard they replaced their singer Neil Turbin. When I bought the Armed And Dangerous E.P. I was a little disappointed with Joey Belladonna's vocals on the fake live re-recordings of 2 Neil Turbin era tracks. I like Joey's voice but he can't sing like Neil Turbin. When Spreading The Disease was released I was a little disappointed in it as there was a style shift away from the Fist Full Of Metal album. Any band who changes lead vocalists changes in style, it's inevitable.
I have to say that the next LP Among The Living (which solidified and broadened the new sound) is still in rotation to this day. That said I have to be truthful adding John Bush to the band was actually, for me, a pleasant surprise. I love Armored Saint and John Bush's voice is a big reason why. Now having John sing for Anthrax was as drastic a change as having David Coverdale replace Ian Gillan in Deep Purple. I however love every album by Anthrax John Bush sang on, as well as every Deep Purple record Coverdale sang on. I was also glad when Joey came back so I could once again see that line-up live, which I recommend they are still a great live band.

justdave's notes:
I ripped the waves with DVD Audio Extractor. I then used Goldwave to add fade in at beginning and fade out at end. I also almost tripled the volume from the original source using Goldwave for that. No EQ, or noise reduction was used. The DVD had lossy Dolby MP3 audio so I encoded the waves to MP3 320 while fixing sector boundary errors. I did this using Trader's Little Helper.
I never thought I would find a Pro sounding recording of YOB let alone a Pro-shot DVD bootleg! YOB is actually one of my favorite bands. When I say that I usually have to add that I listen to a lot of different music and I have favorites from every genre I listen to. YOB is a Transcendental/Psychedelic Doom Metal band. YOB uses a lot of the elements of Stoner Doom, long songs that build in density with both clean and growled vocals. In the studio singer/guitarist/founder Mike Scheidt uses effects on his voice that makes him sound something like a cross between Ozzy Osbourne and Geddy Lee. Even when using a Death Metal grunt. Listening to YOB while smoking some of Michigan's finest and at heavy decibels takes my mind away from everything, much in the way of Pink Floyd will. Live however Mike uses no effects on his voice giving it more raw emotion and power.
If you're into Black Sabbath, The Obsessed, Saint Vitus, Cathedral, Trouble, Pentagram, Candlemass with a helping of Pink Floyd or maybe even Hawkwind, YOB is a band you should check out. They are basically an updated version of everything that Stoner/Psychedelic Music fans love. I highly recommend YOB to you all!
