Car Bomb to headline ProgStorm Festival 2026!

We’re incredibly happy to help unveil one of the major names joining ProgStorm Festival 2026. Car Bomb will headline the Saturday night at Club Soda, marking their long overdue return to Montréal more than fifteen years after last playing the city on tour with Gojira. Few bands in extreme progressive metal have pushed the boundaries as relentlessly as Car Bomb, whose signature mix of shifting rhythms, down-tuned chaos, jazz-infused drumming and explosive vocals has shaped an unmistakable sound over the past two decades.

Their path speaks for itself, with collaborations and tours alongside some of the most influential names in the genre. From their debut “Centralia” through Relapse Records, to the experimental “w^w^^w^w“, the crushing intensity of “Meta” and “Mordial“, and their recent EP “Tiles Whisper Dreams“, the band has consistently redefined what modern heavy music can be. With a touring history that includes Meshuggah, Gojira, Tesseract, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Animals As Leaders and Periphery, plus Greg Kubacki’s recent onstage appearance with Gojira in France, their return feels not just significant but timely. We’re genuinely honored to welcome them as the Saturday headliner for ProgStorm 2026.
