We are building an autonomous frontier lab
Artificial intelligence has solved some of humanity’s greatest mysteries, from protein folding to forecasting chaotic weather systems. However, AI research is dependent on serendipity and limited by experimental throughput. Thesis is an AI research lab automating AI R&D itself.
We are building Darwin, a hill-climbing machine capable of searching a vast combinatorial space of experiments. By using the outcome of every experiment to optimize the next, Darwin creates a loop of recursive self-improvement, turning machine learning research into a compounding system rather than a sequence of manual steps.
We are directing this machine toward the grand challenges of biology and materials science. The breakthroughs that define our generation will come from human research ambition amplified by autonomous AI R&D. Thesis will build the machine that discovers them, using it to solve the hardest problems known to humankind and extend the boundaries of knowledge.
