Carbon Negativity
We're Climate Neutral Certified through measuring, reducing, and compensating for 100% of carbon emissions generated from making and delivering our products. To reach our goal of carbon negativity (aka climate positivity) by 2025, we’re working toward science-aligned reduction targets by implementing new software to optimize shipment loads and increasing our investments in regenerative agriculture. Zero Waste
All Thrive Market warehouses are TRUE Certified for Zero Waste, meaning we recycle or repurpose at least 90% of materials that enter, diverting them away from landfills, incineration (waste-to-energy), and the environment. To maintain our certification, TRUE requires that we continue to meet our 90% diversion requirement every year.
Plastic Neutrality
In 2022, we reduced plastic shipping materials by 70%. The plastic we do use in packaging for our owned brands and shipping for all member orders is Plastic Neutral Certified through our partnership with rePurpose Global, which recovers as much plastic from nature as our materials create. Moving forward, we'll continue to cut plastic usage wherever possible and maintain our certification with rePurpose Global.
