The story of 'Kalki 2898 AD' is set 6,000 years after the Mahabharata war, drawing deeply from Hindu scriptures. Prabhas plays Bhairava, a relentless bounty hunter determined to secure his place in the "Complex". Deepika Padukone portrays Sumathi, a mother whose unborn child is destined to be the 10th and final avatar of Lord Vishnu. Amitabh Bachchan takes on the role of Ashwatthama, the immortal warrior, who is committed to protecting Sumathi. Meanwhile, Kamal Haasan’s character, Supreme Leader Yaskin, emerges as the film’s antagonist.
