Jigardan Gadhavi, who is gaining attention in the Gujarati music industry with his string of hits, is set to release a new track titled 'Chaniyacholi.' The title has intrigued music lovers, who are eagerly anticipating its release. In an ETimes interview, Gadhavi shared details about the song and offered insights into its creation.
Jigraa shares, "After the overwhelming response to my previous releases 'Mogal Taro Aashro', 'Maro Chand,' 'Vrindavan Nonstop,' and 'Shakti NonStop', I found myself pondering what I could create next for
Navratri.
The love and support from my fans have always been my driving force, and this year, I wanted to give something back that truly captured the festive spirit of Navratri."
Talking about the song title, the singer said, "The inspiration came unexpectedly. My wife, Yati, was browsing for chaniyacholis for an event at home, and as I watched her, I began to hum a tune. That simple melody quickly evolved into a full-fledged song in my mind. I reached out to our brilliant Gujarati lyricist, Bhargav Purohit—who has penned hits like 'Radha ne Shyam' and 'Manada Lidha Mohi Raaj' and we had a quick, fun session to craft the lyrics. With the core of the song ready, I jammed on it for a few days before bringing on board Mir Desai for music production."
"I've always been eager to work on a Tran Taali or Hinch song, so I was thrilled when this project began to take shape. But as the shoot approached, life got busier. My Pre-Navratri overseas tour was just 20 days away, and I had four non-stop tracks to dub, along with film songs, rehearsals for Navratri, and other music label commitments. Still, I was determined to create something special for my fans who look forward to my Navratri releases each year. Last year, I didn't release anything, so I knew this year had to be exceptional."
"For the 'Chaniyacholi' song, I called up my best friend, Hardik Trivedi, who has executed many of my music videos, and we brought Divyaraj Gadhavi on board for direction. We all had a clear vision: this song needed to be grand, visually stunning, and full of festive vibes. It had to strike the perfect balance between regional authenticity and Bollywood flair. Yati was deeply involved in the process from the start, and she loved the song so much that I asked her to be the female lead. She joined the project without hesitation, adding her charm to the video. To bring the dance sequences to life, we enlisted the talented traditional choreographer Khushi Avashiya."
"After three days of intense rehearsals, we shot the song in three continuous shifts in Ahmedabad. It was a whirlwind, but the result was worth every bit of effort. I'm excited to share Chaniyacholi with all of you this Navratri, a celebration of our culture, our music, and the festive spirit that brings us together, Jigraa stated."
