Russian helicopter with three aboard goes missing, search operations underway

A Russian gold mining company's helicopter vanished on Monday with three people aboard, and rescue teams were still searching for the aircraft, according to Russian news agencies on Tuesday.
The helicopter, a Robinson R66 owned by the Khergu gold mining company, was conducting an unregistered flight over the Amur region in Russia's Far East, as reported by Interfax news agency, citing a statement from the local branch of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
The helicopter disappeared in a marshy area, according to the local branch of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. Over 20 rescuers are currently searching for the aircraft using various pieces of equipment, RIA agency stated. The difficult terrain is hampering search efforts.
According to Interfax, there was no information available about the identities of those on board the missing aircraft.
