The latest episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 16 starts with host Amitabh Bachchan playing the Fastest Finger First round. Shreem's mother got emotional when he made it to the hot seat when Big B inquired the reason behind it, the contestant shares that his mother is a die-hard Kaun Banega Crorepati fan. He says, "She has been watching the show since season 1 and has not missed a single episode. I must have missed a few but she hasn't. When I'm out wit my friends, she calls me to come home because KBC is about to start. She feels my general knowledge is good and it was her dream to see me on the hot seat. I'm here to fulfil my mother's dream."
Shreem's mother reveals that her son has been fasting to be on the show. The contestant shares, "To honor her dream, I undertook a rigorous 97-day vrat, consuming only fruits from the moment I received the call to appear on the show until I sat on the hot seat. I got a call on May 3 and I have been fasting for 108 days. I am only on fruits and had vowed to open my fast only once I make to the hot seat in front of Mr Amitabh Bachchan."
Big B asks what he would like to have and Shreem asks for aloo ke parathe cooked by his mother. In a touching moment on the show, host Amitabh Bachchan offered Shreem his favorite dessert, 'rasmalai,' to help him break his fast.

The entire audience cheered for Big B after hearing the contestant's heartfelt admiration. "Hats off to you, sir. aapko dhantvat pranam (I offer you my deepest respect)." Big B shows his gratitude and says, "Jab camera on hota hai sir pata nahi na jaane kahan se energy aajaati hai, aur bus hojaata hai, pata nahi kaise?."
Mr Bachchan continues the game with Shreem. Big B even broke Shreem's fast by offering him sweets.
