# TikHub — Social Media API & Data Infrastructure Platform

## Overview

TikHub is a social media data infrastructure platform designed for developers, AI agents, researchers, and enterprises. It provides programmatic access to public data from 16 social media platforms through a unified API, along with pre-collected datasets for AI training, 990+ MCP tools for AI agents, and a real-time Live Room WebSocket API.

TikHub focuses on social data infrastructure for the AI era: social reasoning and emotional-intelligence datasets for physical AI, plus real-time social APIs powering AI-agent applications in quantitative trading, government & defense, and marketing. 30,000+ developers and data teams use TikHub; 300M+ requests are ingested daily. TikHub collects public data only and operates in alignment with GDPR and CCPA. TikHub supplies the tools and services that enable data access; it does not own, resell, or redistribute the underlying data itself.

### Authentication
All API requests require an API key passed via the `Authorization` header:

- Default: 10 requests per second (RPS), free
- RPS plans: 20 RPS ($5/mo) up to 100 RPS ($55/mo)
- Enterprise: 100+ RPS, custom rate limits available

## MCP Integration

TikHub provides 990+ Model Context Protocol (MCP) tools enabling AI agents to directly access social media data. Each platform has a dedicated MCP server at `https://mcp.tikhub.io/{platform}/mcp` (e.g. `/tiktok/mcp`, `/instagram/mcp`, `/youtube/mcp`). Discovery endpoint: `https://mcp.tikhub.io/platforms`. ## Browser Extension

TikHub Social Media Extension (Chrome): a bring-your-own-key side-panel analytics toolkit for TikTok, Douyin, Instagram, X, and Bilibili. Collect comments, analyze public accounts, and generate one-click AI-powered trend reports (interactive HTML + raw JSON/CSV export). Open the Chrome Web Store and search "TikHub". Requires a free TikHub API key.

## Marketplace (launching August 2026)

TikHub Marketplace opens August 2026: developers can list their own AI agents, APIs, and web crawlers. 10% commission (vs. the ~20% industry standard) — sellers keep 90% of every sale. Early submissions are reviewed now via https://tikhub.io/contact.
