Haunted house where goblins lurked
Tommy Moon had seen and heard, he told me so.
Tower walls kept monsters chained, on Halloween we’d masquerade to see them all.
Hearts pounding, we stumbled through that open door
Tommy Moon took hold my hand
Shaking like a frightened lamb, we entered
In a chair a scarecrow sat, watching us as we crept past, he whispered.
Turning white we ran the hall, and hanging from the ceiling was a dead man.
Bones clattered, hearts shattered as he grabbed my friend
Tommy screamed with all his might, breaking loose he ran for life beside me
They’re coming.
Angel wings took hold our feet as Tom and I flew down the street trembling
Witches’ moon was in the sky, ‘twas a sign for Tom and I to say goodnight.
Deep slumbers, another Halloween has gone
Tommy Moon and I have seen what a million kids will dream tonight.
