Stop 1: @grange.garden Grange Garden - 240 S Cedros Ave, Solana Beach CA 92705 My favorite spot. This is a coffee shop where the owner brings her rabbits. So it’s not quite a bunny cafe, but you can go respectfully pet and feed the sweet little buns inside. Stop 2: @thecavestore Cave Store - 1325 Coast Blvd, La Jolla CA 92037 A classic. The Cave Store leads you down a 143 step tunnel down into Sunny Jim’s Cave. It’s $10 to get in. Once you’re done in the cave, go down the trail to see all the sea lions hanging out on the beach, another classic viewing spot. Stop 3: @ansgelato An’s Dry Cleaning - 3017 Adams Ave, San Diego CA 92116 Named the Best Ice Cream in America by USA Today - ever since that happened, I’ve heard the lines get really gnarly. We got in right away. Stop 4: @barriodonas Barrio Donas - 2548 Congress St. San Diego A trendy donut spot inside a food hall, with the “best horchata in America.” When we went, though, it was closed (randomly, we went inside normal hours) - so I can’t comment on it, aha. Stop 5: @whaleyhousesd Whaley House - 2476 San Diego Ave, San Diego CA 92110 The Most Haunted House in America. You can do a self guided tour here for about $20, or you can take a tour with a guide. Stop 6: Spruce St Suspension Bridge - W Spruce St, San Diego CA 92103 Genuinely so cool and random. I actually got scared on this. It’s a long suspension bridge that actually shakes fairly significantly, lol. Stop 7: @theinvigatorium Invigatorium - 631 Ninth Ave, San Diego CA 92101 Decorated to the brim, this is a coffee shop until 3:00 and after turns into a bar. Stop 8: @intothevoidinc Mothership - 631 Ninth Ave, San Diego CA 92101 Incredible spot, with some of the coolest decor I’ve seen in a bar. It’s all vegan, but their food is, dare I say, out of this world. They have N/A drinks, and you really feel like you’ve entered an experience. Merry Christmas, everyone, and thank you to my friends for humoring me and coming with me on this trip. . . #sandiego #roadtrip #wheretogo #daytrip #orangecounty | Lily| OC Food + Things to Do in Orange County | Facebook
