DIY Dollar Tree Lemon wall decor | By Windy City Crafts | Went ahead and grabbed a pizza pan from Dollar Tree and then I'll be using some Waverly Chalk Paint in the color ink just to paint the outer edge of that pizza pan. This did end up requiring two coats. You want to dry the first coat before going on to the second coat and allow that to completely dry. I then grabbed this lemon placemat from Walmart. Grabbed a splatter screen from Dollar Tree because those actually fit perfectly inside of those pizza pans. Went ahead and just traced out that placemat and then just cut that right out. And I wanted to give the placemat just a little bit more of a distressed look. So I am using some Waverly Chalk Paint in the color plaster. Putting a small amount of the paint on my paint brush and just went over it with light brush strokes. And then I'm going to be holding the placemat onto the pizza pan using this Dollar Tree Fix All Adhesive Glue is a great substitute for E six thousand and a mixture of hot glue. And then just allow those glues to completely dry. Then grab some of this white nautical rope from Dollar Tree as well and just began hot gluing that around the cut edge of that placemat. And just gluing it all around that pizza pan. And then you can embellish it however you would like. I ended up grabbing some of these eucalyptus fake leaves from Walmart. Just cut them right off of the pick. Just gluing two of the picks on each side of the pizza pan. Again, just using that mixture of the Dollar Tree adhesive glue with hot glue and then I made this bow off of my easy bow maker. All of that ribbon came from Hobby Lobby. Found a good placement for the bow in between the eucalyptus and used the same mixture of that adhesive glue and hot glue and just held that bow down until it was Completely adhered. And this is just looking absolutely adorable. Now you could leave it as is. You could stop the project right here but I ended up making this decal off of my Cricut machine. If you don't have a Cricut machine you could definitely check out Walmart, Hobby Lobby, any craft stores, even Dollar Tree for maybe like a wooden cutout with the word welcome, home, hello, and just paint it black and just place that on the placemat as well. And then you want to just add a hanger. So I just used some nautical rope to act as a hanger. And there you go guys. I think this came out so cute. I hope this inspires you to create your own and your own special way. If it did please be sure to sprinkle the love. Thank you so so much and I hope you all have a good rest of your day. Thanks. Bye.
Dollar Tree Highland Cow Planter | Dollar Tree Highland Cow Planter | By Creating Through Chaos | Hey everybody it's Janice with Creating Through Chaos and we're going to start this project off with this piece of wood and crate that I got at Dollar Tree. I'm going to paint them each with the celery green color. And I did the front and the back of this board and along the edges. And this is just one of those thin pieces of wood from the crafter square section. And then the same thing with the crate. I'm going to paint all of the crate including the bottom. And I did a little bit onto the inside of the crate. I didn't go crazy all the way down. Once I had them both fully painted I'm going to set them aside to fully dry. And then I'm going to grab this circle that I got at Walmart. And I'm going to give this a coat of white paint. Just one side and it's just a quick coat so that when I do decopage the napkin on it has a bright backing. Instead of just the plain wood. So just a quick coat of white paint and then I'm going to let that dry fully. Once that was dry I'm going to take this Highland Cow napkin. That was a part of my napkin bundles and I'm going to peel the layers apart. And then I am going to cut one of the squares out. So just one of the four designs. I'm going to kind of figure out how I want it lined on my circle. And then I'm just going to take some Mod Podge and I'm going to put a nice coat of that onto this round and then I'm going to let that round and the Mod Podge fully dry. Once that was fully dry I am going to take my napkin and place it back on exactly where I want it. Then I'm going to take a piece of parchment paper and lay that right over the top and then iron that napkin right onto that circle. And I'm just going to keep iron until I feel like it is fully adhered. Once I feel like it's fully adhered, I'm going to take off the parchment paper and the napkin and then I am going to start sanding the edges of the napkin off. So I'm just going to use my little sanding block and go around and just lightly sand off the edges. Once I have that all sanded off I am going to take my antique wax and just go around the edge of this circle and then I'm also going to go a little on the crate and also along the piece of wood. So I'm just going to go around all of the edges And just kind of give it a little bit of a rustic look. And again same thing with the crate. Go along the front of that and along the edges and the sides. I'm not worried about the back because we're going to not see the back. I just kind of add that all around. And then you can take a baby wipe and wipe off the excess if you don't like how much is on there. As you can see I'm kind of adding a little bit more. And then you can just take a baby wipe like I said and just kind of regulate how much you have on there. So once I have everything all covered with the antique wax and I have it all the you know tone that I want it. I'm going to take this crate and I am going to glue that to the very bottom of this piece of wood. So I'm just going to add some hot glue and as you can see some of it got on my sign but that's okay. Once it dries it'll pop right off. I am going to put this right at the bottom. And then I am going to take the circle with the little cow on it. And I'm going to glue that right to the almost top. It's kind of in the center there. Press that down. And then I am going to take some Spanish moss and I'm going to fill up that little crate with that. And then I'm going to take some greenery and this greenery is from Hobby Lobby. Then I'm going to add that right into the crate. And kind of arrange it how I want it. Moving the Spanish moss and that around. And then I'm going to take this blessed cutout. And this is from Hobby Lobby. And I'm going to give this a quick coat of white paint. I felt like the green needed some offsetting with some white. So once I had that all painted I'm going to take some tacky glue and I'm going to add that right to the front of the crate. So I'm just going to put a little bit of that on the back of the blessed sign. And then set that right in the front of the crate. And again I just was feeling like it needed a few more little finishing touches. So I'm going to grab some of these half wood beads. And I took a piece of tape and just taped it to one of my little mats. And I'm going to paint them with white acrylic paint. And I did two larger ones and then four smaller ones. So I'm just going to give those a quick coat of paint. Making sure I get all the way around them. Doing that on the tape is so much easier than trying to hold them. And then once they were all dry I'm going to take the two bigger ones and I'm going to add those to the very top of this. So on either side. And I really just think this helps with the overwhelming green. And then I'm going to take the four smaller half wood beads and put them on each corner of the crate. So just two on the bottom and then two on the top. I thought that that was a perfect finishing touch for this. It kind of tones down all of that green and I just think it looks so super cute. As you can see I added some lavender into the crate with the greenery. And it's kind of to pull some of the purple out of her floral crown that she is wearing. This project can be made in so many different ways and colors and I just think it turned out so super cute. I absolutely love it. I hope you enjoyed this project. I hope it inspires you to make one. Thank you for watching and as always don't forget to spread the chaos.
