Gargoyles

Gargoyles were originally designed to adorn buildings, and at the same time to act as water spouts, to throw rainwater clear of the walls and help prevent their erosion. Another reason for including gargoyles on a building was to ward of evil spirits and protect the occupants inside. I love them and have several guarding my home from the evil presence next door.
