Aspen elocin is an alternative artist based in the midwest with southern roots. She spent three years working on a breakup album titled 'South of Dissension'. The album releases September 13th 2025. She was inspired by the south and her own childhood living in a very small town in oklahoma were she often felt like an outcast. As an artist she has been able to turn some more traumatic experiences into music giving them purpose and reason. While 2024's 'Impossible Light' was a grand comeback project, something about this "EP" feels like the right balance while simultaneously gives me just enough madness before I actually break down. By time the ambient "misremembered dream" comes on, I'm broken inside. My emotions and fight of flight kick in super hard! Only EP I can think of dragging me to such darkness.
