In a remarkable effort to equip the next generation of professionals with the tools for success in the corporate world, the University of Energy and Natural Resources in collaboration with Hollard Life Insurance hosted a transformative mentorship programme dubbed ‘Navigating the World of Work.’ The event was held on Wednesday, August 02, 2023, at the University Auditorium.

The Dean of School of Sciences, Prof. Samuel Fosu Gyasi, in his keynote address expatiated the invaluable insights and wisdom on critical skills and strategies required to excel in today’s competitive job market. He urged students to remain proactive in honing their abilities and embrace a culture of continuous learning as they step out into the dynamic world of the work environment.

Mr. Reese Mensah Daniel, Head of Regional Market, Hollard Life Insurance warmly welcomed the students and reiterated his company’s commitment in nurturing and guiding young talents for prosperous future. “As you approach the job market, it is essential to equip yourselves with the right entrepreneurial mindset and strategies,” said Mr. Daniel. “We, at Hollard, are thrilled to be here as mentors, offering our knowledge and experiences to help you navigate the challenges of your future careers”, he added.
Students expressed their heartfelt gratitude for the valuable lessons and experiences gained from the Hollard Team. They have broadened our perspectives on how to plan for our future as well as leveraging on a meaningful networking in the professional world. It is truly inspiring seeing Hollard life Insurance investing on our future growth.”
The mentorship session provided an interactive platform for students to engage with the professionals from the industry. Hollard Life Insurance’s team of experts was on hand to offer mentor and advice students on their career paths, resume building, and interview tips.
