Ulugbek S. Kamilov

Professor of Computational Imaging at UW–Madison.

I am the Director of the Computational Imaging Group (CIG) and the Leon and Elizabeth Janssen Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at UW–Madison. I am also a fellow of the Wisconsin Institute for Discovery (WID). I hold affiliate appointments at the School of Computer Sciences (CS), the Department of Radiology at the School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), and the Data Science Institute (DSI).

I was previously the Donald L. Snyder Associate Professor at WashU from 2017 to 2025, a Visiting Professor at ENS Paris in 2024, a Visiting Faculty Researcher at Google Research from 2023 to 2024, and a Research Scientist at Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL) from 2015 to 2017. I obtained my PhD in 2015 from EPFL. Earlier, I was an Exchange Student at CMU in 2007–2008, a Visiting Student Researcher at MIT in 2010–2011, and a Visiting Scholar at Stanford University in 2013. I was also an intern at Microsoft in 2009.
