𝗟𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 As part of London Fashion Week, we were proud to make history by hosting a first-of-its-kind runway show pitch side at Emirates Stadium. A Journey of Triumphs by Foday Dumbuya with Labrum London built on the launch of our iconic away kit together in July. The kit, featuring pan-African colours with a zig-zag pattern inspired by 1920s African art, created by adidas in collaboration with Labrum London celebrates our African players and our passionate African supporters. The show elevated and championed diverse talent and our rich cultural heritage – in Islington and around the world. Under a special light show in N5, grime artist and Arsenal supporter, Ghetts opened the show with a powerful spoken word recital. Declan Rice and fellow Gooners including Clara Amfo, Mawaan Rizwan, Amanda Reifer and Michael Dapaah all walked the runway in pieces inspired by football culture. Balimaya Project provided an incredible live soundtrack for the show. The event brought culture and community together, the front row featured our men’s first-team players Riccardo Calafiori and Myles Lewis-Skelly, Arsenal legend Alex Scott, Wretch 32, Bashy, Eni Aluko, Himesh Patel and Micheal Ward. Football and fashion are influential forces in our global community. It was a privilege to bring them together during London Fashion Week - an iconic moment in our city’s calendar - to inspire connection and a sense of belonging for our supporters around the world.

Disability Access Manager at Arsenal FC

RNIB paid a visit to Emirates Stadium in July, to provide Blind and Partially Sighted Awareness Training to our Arsenal colleagues and friends from Arsenal Disabled Supporters' Association and Islington Council.   It was a real pleasure to come together again, and a huge thanks to Gareth Davies and his team for delivering some fantastic insights into the matchday experience of blind and partially sighted supporters.   After the training, we took to the pitch in The Arsenal Hub play football using sim specs and blindfolds, experiencing the game in a completely different way.   Through a number of initiatives such as this workshop, we endeavour to ensure that everyone can feel an equal sense of pride and belonging to Arsenal.   Our work with the RNIB follows on from the launch of 'See Sport Differently' the guidance on supporting sports spectators with sight loss, a body of research to which Arsenal was the lead club to contribute.   For the 2024/25 season, we have implemented a new audio-descriptive commentary service provided by Alan March Sport Ltd, and our audio matchday programmes will also now be available to listen to before kick-off.   I'm really proud that access and inclusion is such a focus for us year-round, as we remain committed to understanding the challenges and barriers our disabled supporters face.

Last night, Emirates Stadium played host to a memorable evening as the Arsenal family and our wider community celebrated the launch of a new book, ‘Black Arsenal’. The landmark book by Dr Clive Chijioke Nwonka offers a comprehensive exploration of our distinctive connection with Black British identity and culture, thanks to decades of iconic Black players and the storied and diverse histories of our supporters on the terraces. Providing a blend of celebration and reflection, the event marked the book’s launch and brought together distinguished guests, including a mix of Arsenal legends, cultural trailblazers, and influential figures from football, culture, and beyond. A heartfelt homage to our deep-rooted connection with Black British culture, guests enjoyed a live DJ set by Radio 1's Jeremiah Asiamah, Caribbean cuisine and exclusive artwork inspired by the book's themes. The event fostered engaging conversations and powerful tributes, culminating in a panel discussion led by our host for the evening Jeanette Kwakye and featuring Arsenal legends Paul Davis and Anita Asante OLY, alongside Arsenal supporter and Ezra Collective musician Femi Koleoso and Dr Clive Nwonka. The discussion considered how Arsenal has become a powerful symbol of multicultural unity, and its significance in today’s society. Paul Davis also spoke movingly about his late friend and fellow Arsenal icon, Kevin Campbell. Paul reflected on their shared journey at the club and Kevin's lasting impact on Arsenal. Thank you to those who have shared their stories and contributed to the book, and to those who attended and brought so much joy to a special evening.

It was such an honour to host the launch of Black Arsenal last night at Emirates Stadium alongside so many guests from the Arsenal family and our local community. Thanks to so many others who also turned out to support and celebrate, many of whom take the game forward with a commitment and focus on diversity and inclusion. It was a pleasure to catch up with familiar faces and meet many more.    The book is an incredible piece of work exploring the relationship between Arsenal and Black British identity and culture that is so deep and distinctive. It shapes who we are as a club, and we thank Dr Clive Chijioke Nwonka for the love and dedication that has gone into this work.   Thanks to those who have shared their stories and contributed to the book that lifts our community and culture here in Islington and around the world in a way that transcends football.    Special thanks also go to Jeanette Kwakye, Paul Davis, Anita Asante OLY, Femi Koleoso and Clive, who spoke so powerfully at the launch.   Black Arsenal is a testament to the strength, spirit, and influence our Black players and supporters have brought to Arsenal and beyond over many years. It brings a real sense of pride, inspiration and belonging.

Three weeks spent across three cities, with five intense matches to give ourselves the best possible preparation for a new season, bring our supporters closer to us, and support our continued growth. What a summer it’s been for all of us, bringing the best of N5 to the world and making us stronger for it.

⚽ 𝑭𝒐𝒐𝒕𝒃𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒙 𝑷𝒐𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝒙 𝑨𝒓𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒂𝒍 ✍ We teamed up with DC SCORES to coach poet-athletes from our D.C. community on our women's team's first ever US tour, bringing football and poetry together to celebrate creativity, expression, and inclusion. Our very own poet-athlete, Lotte Wubben-Moy, joined the session alongside Alessia Russo and Emily Fox. In 2022, Lotte set up our own arts programme for young girls in our community, Time To Explore, which gives young girls a space to express themselves away from the pitch and the classroom.
