Great event hosted by EDS CISO X in Dallas at the Towers Club. Vikas Gopal were there to represent the DataBahn team. It was great meeting many of the leaders we had a chance to talk with and learn about their current projects and priorities.

Thursday, I'll be at CISOXDallas. 48 floors up at the Tower Club, with a room full of DFW security and technology leaders. Most security leaders I talk to are being asked to let the business ship faster while personally owning the risk of what ships. That tension doesn't resolve with another dashboard. What I've seen actually move the needle is narrowing the question. Not "what did the scanner find," but "what is genuinely exploitable in our environment, and did the fix hold?" That's the work I get to be part of at HackerOne, and it's why those two halves are built as one loop: H1 Validation confirms what's actually exploitable so teams stop spending their week on findings that were never a real risk, and H1 Remediation carries a validated finding through to a fix that ships. This morning I joined the Spotlight Forum at eds CISOXDallas 2026, "The Governance Imperative: How Technology Leaders Are Shaping Responsible AI GRC Adoption," alongside Fred Clayton, CISO at Akumin, and Leslie Saravia, Director of IT Security and Compliance at Enovis. We worked through how organizations are actually governing AI adoption across security, risk, and compliance, where innovation and responsible practice pull against one another, and what U.S. organizations can learn from the EU's approach to AI regulation. I brought the municipal seat to that conversation. Texas cities are absorbing new AI obligations on a compressed timeline with a fraction of the staff a regulated enterprise brings to the same work.
