Today we had the pleasure of inviting some of our Corporate Partners and supporters to a Brilliant Breakfast event in London. 🌟 We had the chance to enjoy a wonderful breakfast, meet and network with other business leaders and listen to an inspiring women-led panel, discussing the challenges many young women continue to face in reaching their career goals. By working together with our partners, we can all give young women a working future by raising funds through The Brilliant Breakfast this March. Thank you to A. Lange & Söhne and Phillips for their continued support. The unique timepiece DATOGRAPH Up/DOWN “Hampton Court Edition” by A. Lange & Söhne, auctioned at the weekend, raised an extraordinary £726,440! All proceeds have kindly been donated to The King’s Trust and will empower young people to build brighter futures.
Outstanding auction result for our DATOGRAPH UP/DOWN “Hampton Court Edition”. The one-of-a-kind timepiece, first presented at the Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace near London in August 2024, was auctioned by Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo at the Geneva Watch Auction XX on 9 November 2024 for CHF 825,500 (EUR 877,919, incl. buyer’s premium). All proceeds from this sale will be directed to The King's Trust. The British youth charity, which operated under the name “The Prince’s Trust” until mid-October 2024, is dedicated to empowering young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to recognise their potential and build a brighter future. The auctioned chronograph in white gold with a grey dial and black subsidiary dials rounds up the 25th anniversary year of our renowned DATOGRAPH, a benchmark in chronograph construction ever since its introduction. “The result is showcasing the high appreciation for our watches within the global collector’s community,” says our CEO Wilhelm Schmid. “Our sincerest thanks go to all bidders and our partners who contributed to the success of the auction.” We invite you to learn more about the auction here: https://bit.ly/40DV6P5 #alangesoehne #langesaxonia #datographupdownhamptoncourtedition #25yearsdatograph #hautehorlogerie

Last night we were delighted to host the Retail Leadership Dinner at our King’s Trust South London Centre. We were joined by 14 leaders from the retail industry to introduce them to the important work of The King’s Trust and to discuss how businesses within the sector can support young people. Hosted by Brian Duffy, The King’s Trust Retail Leadership Chair and CEO of Watches of Switzerland Group PLC, the night consisted of a three-course dinner cooked by a Trust-supported young person. During the evening there were a series of impactful talks, including hearing first-hand from two of our young people, Charlie and Winfrey, on their experience attending one of our King’s Trust Explore programmes. A special thanks to Stuart Machin, CEO for Marks and Spencer, for sharing how M&S have been able to engage in a transformational partnership with The King’s Trust for over 20 years, supporting over 12,000 young people into work through their Marks & Starts programme.

Congratulations to this fantastic group of young people who have completed our first-ever Creative Futures course, Get Started with DJing, launched in partnership with The Elba Hope Foundation. This initiative builds on the momentum our alumnus, Idris Elba, has created through his Don't Stop Your Future campaign, that works with grassroots community organisations to address rising violent crime, by providing an opportunity to fulfil their potential. From equipment set-up to making music, Manchester now has 14 more talented DJs who are ready to take over the world.
