I have always hated black, white and silver for any bedroom. For me, being a color-loving person, that color scheme is more for a kitchen or a bathroom, while a bedroom should represent YOU and your personal tastes. I also think nobody can get bored of color, it brightens your mood and keeps it that way. I wouldn't recommend having your room in dull colors...Keep it right, Keep it bright:)
