Highly sensitive people have a unique personality trait known as hypersensitivity to the slightest change in the internal or external environment. I chose this pin for this week's discussion because our readings were all about identity development and the way gifted students view themselves and how others view them (or categorize them in Betts & Neiharts article). To begin, I am not sure that gifted students identity formation is anymore complicated than any one else as an adolescent. I do think it is different than non-gifted students, but not anymore complicated. Their moral sensitivity, as talked about in the Lovecky article,
