Wow, Wednesday came around again so quickly! I thought I'd stay with things that melt and show what happens when you iron cellophane paper. This is the heavy type of cellophane used by florists to wrap flowers. Round is a contemporary textile exhibition by textile artist Gail Hawes. An experimental textile artist, she uses unusual materials to explore individuality in a world of mass consumerism. More known for stitched textiles, in this exhibition she includes techniques such as felting, hand dying of hand spun wool and fabric manipulation to explore the subject.
