Have you ever wanted to build a gorgeous outdoor fireplace with a TV above the firebox? Well, look no further than our Tombstone fireplace design. This fireplace is only 12' wide and 48" deep at the center of the structure, and can be built with either square or curved corners as shown in the renderings. The curved seating returns for a 3' depth on each end. The curves to the lower shelves and for the chimney give this design a wonderful and distinctive look unlike any other fireplace. The arched firebox is 40" wide with two 20" wide arched wood storage voids set back 4". This keeps the center of the fireplace the focal point of the structure. The lower shelves above the storage voids are 40" high. The 4" recessed area for the TV is 56"W x 36"T making it big enough for a 55"-60" TV. The top of the TV recessed area is 8' high, which is at the height of most pergola and patio cross beams. This fireplace is approximately 11' tall as drawn but that height can be modified lower or higher if needed. Don't look any further if you want the perfect fireplace with lots of features. The Tombstone fireplace plan has a total of 50 pages and it will guide you step by step through the construction of a cinder block and mortar structure. This item is a digital download and there are no returns. The cost of materials for the rough build was estimated by Backyard Flare at $909. This cost does not include the TV, foundation, or the finish work of the structure, such as the veneer or lighting.
