Austrian Shades are classic window treatments that evoke romance and elegance as they are perfect to soften any space in your home. This style shade gathers into full poufs/festoons when lowered and always maintains a ruffled, shirred effect. Austrian Shades can be used alone or as a decorative under-treatment to enhance the view from your windows. We make beautiful plush hand crafted shades in a variety of fabric choices. All of our window treatments are skillfully constructed in our professional drapery workroom and customized to your exact specifications. Our Austrian shades are made 3 to 4 times the length of your window and 1.5 times the width of your window for a rich and full gathered look. Concealed weight bars are used on all of our shades to allow for smooth lifting. We also insert lead free sausage bead weights inside the bottom hems to assure soft and beautiful draping on each festoon. NOTE: ~ Size and prices in our listing are based on "WIDTH RANGE" for shades made with Sheer Voile and Faux Silk. SHADE SYSTEMS 1. CORD LOCK/PULLEY Features: Cord locks and pulley mounted underneath a 1" x 4" wood board that is is covered in the face fabric. Shade is velcro mounted on wood headrail. Recommended for shades that will not be maneuvered often. 2. CLUTCH Low profile aluminum headrail with clutch drive and cord lift mechanism concealed inside of the headrail. Shades are velcro mounted onto the aluminum headrail. Looped beaded chain lifts and lowers the shade effortlessly and evenly, eliminating any need to pull or tug on the shade when maneuvering it. 3. REMOTE CONTROLLED Quite motor and programable features (up to 15 channels) HOW TO MEASURE YOUR WINDOW All shades require precise window measurements. INSIDE MOUNT WIDTH: Measure inside widths at the top and bottom of the window opening. LENGTH: Measure inside length of the window opening. OUTSIDE MOUNT WIDTH: Measure window width at top and bottom of window (trim molding included). LENGTH: Measure length from top of window molding to the window sill. WALL ABOVE WINDOW: Measure wall length above window from top of window trim to the ceiling or bottom of crown molding.
