everything here reflects through us-two, but not as two individuals: us-mob, us-all. collective pronouns used in other languages for many-as-one: one part of something greater, made with and treasured by us-all.
when us-two first came together we called our way of being ‘noding’ (rhymes with coding). it means expressing ourselves while knowing no expression is individual. we may be the conduit, but our expressions arise from sparks that fly when we meet others.
this fires and forges our crafts: media which disrupts capitalist and colonial normalcy. this takes many forms: documentary, essays, yarns, books, interactive installations, websites, field recordings, zines, apps, podcasts, you name it.
we co-create in reciprocal relation. we start with a yarn and grow something together.
we don’t do this mahi for money. ursa is not work, not a job we do. we are a creative two(+)person collective. we engage in co-creative mahi with communities and people through reciprocity.

ursa is built by Indigenous peoples. Hera is Tūhoe and Arlewatyerre is Arrernte. our mahi takes us from Yawuru to Yuggera Country, Whangārei to Te Whanganui-a-Tara. we are humbled by the custodianship of Elders and kaumātua past and present, and engage them with deep respect and gratitude. we recognise sovereignty of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples across australia. we recognise Māori as Tangata Whenua of Aotearoa. sovereignty has never been ceded.
