Listed here is a RARE. UNIQUE ROYAL WORCESTER FLORAL VASE. The vase is finished with a matt finished metallic dusty pink base with floral decoration. The floral decorations are tube outlined and enamel infill creating a very unique appearance. I have never seen a Worcester finish like this one. This vase was produced in Worcester, England in 1879. The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The hand decoration is also in excellent condition showing only minor gold accent wear. I have for you this evening a rare pottery vase fired at the kilns of Royal Doulton in England. This piece is made of very fine grade pottery and is well glazed with an variagated green body on the outside and a mustard color inside. The unique mold shape draws inspiration from the art and crafts movement of the time and the sea faring motif enforces the feeling of nature and earthyness as well. This lovely piece has ships on the waves as its central motif and is done in black silhouette with raised enamels added to the glaze to make the waves stand out and to add a textural element that is rarely seen on pieces of this type by this maker. This piece will make an incredible addition to your collection and will look stunning in your favorite cabinet or at table. Item dimensions and dating: All measurements are approximate. Antique Royal Bonn German Vase with Beautiful Floral Pattern
Here is a very beautiful antique Royal Bonn vase which dates to approximately late 1800s. It measures approximately 4 inches tall x 4 inches wide. With a diameter of 1 1/2 inches on the footed base, and a 1/4 inch opening at the opening on the top. The background is gold with shades of dark green, with a lovely floral pattern. This vase boasts a nice shiny glaze. There are no breaks or cracks. A couple small spots of chipped paint, both are less than 1/8th of an inch. It is a footed vase with gold trim on the base. There is also gold trim at the rim. When looking at this in person the quality and exquisiteness of this vase jumps out at the viewer. It's a lovely antique piece. It has a hand painted landscape scene that travels all around the vase. The surface of the vase is a soft matte satin. It is then accented with very heavy gold outlined enameled Art Nouveau Iris florals in a deep gloss enamel burgandy bronze. The vase has a gold gilded rim and the gilding travels at least an 1" into the interior of the vase. The vase is artist signed as shown in photo and is marked on the base. The background graduates from deep pink to a creamy white. The vase has a well-rounded shape topped with a thin neck. Marked on the bottom with the Royal Bonn mark and impressed Franz Mehlem, as well as appropriate impressed and printed number and hallmarks. The piece has no chips. Cracks, crazing, or repairs. I see one scratch(about 1" in the area beneath the widest part of the belly where the vase slops in toward the base. With the vase standing up. This is a wonderful and richly coloured pink vase embellished with elaborate ornamentation in the classical manner of the mid 1800's. Using magnificent bands of exquisite polychrome hand-painted decoration. Possessing delicate floral encrusted and gilt handles. The body of this urn features a portrait MASTERPIECE of Sophie Potocka, exquisitely painted in fine detail and set in a gilded cartouche which has been signed by the artist(P. This antique vase is just gorgeous. It is German. From the maker Franz Anton Mehlem, who,was from Bonn Germany. This maker produced beautiful fine china from 1836- 1931. The official,stamp of this maker from 1890 through 1920 is a crown with the initials F M underneath in capital script lettering.see photos) That is the mark on this particular vase. It has a cream colored background with designs on both sides in a soft green. The scene portrays a green foliage and a woman with a partially exposed bare breast. On each side of her is a cherub in flight. She is wearing a Grecian style gown. On the opposite side is a lovely out door scene which looks to be a knoll or Meadow. There is a tree, grassy foreground, a small body of water, and a calm sky above. The piece is in very good condition, considering its age, it's excellent. There are no ... morechips or cracks, or paint loss at all. Under a magnifying glass"only" there is some light crazing; this of course is a product of its age. Honestly, the vase really looks great. The size and shape of this vase is not rare, but, this particular pattern obviously is. I have scraped and scoured, and have yet to find another like it. This vase stands 7 in high, the top of it measures 1 and a 1/4 in and is done in thick gold. It is 12 and a 1/4 in all the way around the middle. I consider this piece to be special. The 10" tall by 3" wide vase is decorated in floral and roses with green jewels at the top o f the vase. The two handled porcelain vase is free of any damage or restoration. There are no jewels missing at the top or on the gold raised dots encircling the portrait. There is very little if any gold wear. The gold decoration is done in a beautiful Art Nouveau design. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures. The glaze is extremely bright, clean, and shiny. Any white spots are just glare. SIZE: The vase is just under 12.75 inches tall. And is approximately 9 inches wide. It weighs 5 pounds. CONDITION: There are no chips. No cracks, no repairs.
