Vertyco is primarily maintained through community donations, which help cover server costs and development time. This page explains our donation options and how our economy works.
Vertyco's shop system is deliberately designed to ensure free players can achieve better results than those who redeem VC for items:
- Shop blueprints are capped at quality 5 for PvP (in-game drops can reach quality 10)
- Redeemed dinosaurs have lower stats than those you can tame yourself in the wild
- All items available in the shop can be obtained through regular gameplay
Donations support server costs while providing minor conveniences, not gameplay advantages.

Claim VC directly using the .claim command. Contributions are acknowledged at an approximate rate of $1 USD ≈ 1000 VC (an appreciation rate, not a purchase price). All donation methods provide a permanent "Donator" role.
VertCoin (VC) is our virtual currency designed for fun and convenience rather than competitive advantage:
- ⏰ Use the
.vc command every 11 hours to get VertCoin. Use .bal to check your balance - to view level roles that affect bonuses, see #role-info.
- 🎰 Gamble (at your own risk) with VertCoin in the
#casino channel and win big to increase your balance.
- 🐕 Pet the doggo when you see him react with 👋 and be rewarded for your kindness.
- 🐦 Shoot birbs when they pop up in channels by typing
bang 🔫
- ❓ Play
#trivia and compete with friends to see who can get more questions right.
- 🧩 Start a game of Pixl with the
.pixl command and compete with friends to win VC each game for the fastest solutions.

The in-game shop offers:
- Dinosaurs (with stats lower than wild tames)
- Blueprints (capped at quality 5 for PvP)
- Resources and basic items
- Cosmetic items
To keep the economy healthy, VertCoin decays if an account goes inactive:
- If you go 30 days without any Discord activity (messages or reactions), your VC balance starts to decay by 5% per day for every day you stay inactive.
- Coming back and being active again stops the decay immediately, but any VC already lost to decay cannot be restored.
- Tier Supporters and Server Boosters are exempt - their balance never decays while the role is active.
- Decay applies to all VC equally, regardless of whether it was earned for free or claimed from a donation.
