A Berlin talent agency for actors, directors, writers and costume designers, combining artistic representation with in-house product development. Founded 2025.

Owned the homepage of one of Europe’s most-visited e-commerce platforms, leading discovery, roadmap, and delivery with a cross-functional team.

NFDI4Culture — Coordination Lead, Academy of Sciences and Literature Mainz

Coordinated a national research data infrastructure for tangible and intangible cultural heritage, aligning institutions across Germany around shared standards and services.

IncipitSearch — Research Software Engineer, Academy of Sciences and Literature Mainz

Built a search platform and open API for notated music, interlinking musicological repositories using RDF and schema.org.

2017 – 2020

Musikwissenschaft-DDR — Digital source edition

Built my own research tool to work through the sources for my doctoral thesis: a digital edition of the official reports on musicological work in the GDR. Code at github.com/vonvlaho/bibreports.

2021 – 2025

My doctoral thesis on the history of music research in the German Democratic Republic was defended at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz in 2025 and appears with Peter Lang in 2026.
