With the impressive B A L A N C E album still heavily circulating streaming services and dominating live arenas, WAKAAN label head Liquid Stranger now returns with a nod to his second body of work this year, the ‘DIMENSIONS’ EP. Marking four tracks total in length, ‘DIMENSIONS’ is witness to the prominent producer’s sole ability to unify old and new alike; bringing forth an instinctive familiarity of his extensive pre-existing discography and seamlessly bridging it with contemporary elements. Widely recognized as a pioneer in the freeform bass community, Liquid Stranger decidedly affirms his title with this release, going further than ever down the rabbit hole of reverberating low end beats, cinematic bass, ragga, and more, including a highly anticipated collaboration with longtime friend and labelmate Sully.
Just celebrating the massive success of the sold out sophomore WAKAAN Music Festival 2022, Liquid Stranger prepares to hit the ground running for his nationwide ‘DIMENSIONS’ tour. Joined by buzzing acts Tripp St., Ravenscoon, and Tape B, the tour will also feature multiple specially curated WAKAAN takeovers in New York at Avant Gardner and Suwanee’s Hulaween with artists such as Jantsen, TVBOO, Buku, G-REX, and VEIL, along with a three-night run at Mission Ballroom in Denver, Colorado.

A tangled forest of sound—“Tanglewood” rattles heads with hypnotic bass and tribal textures, while “Spanish Moss” warps square waves into mossy trap grooves. “Temptation” and “Honeydust” explore distraction and soul. “Starlight Lake” closes dreamlike—shaky, surreal, and masterfully mixed. Cool vibes throughout. Tangled is right! noizyme
A warped forest journey—Everglade March opens with trap and panning bass like a lightsaber slicing Aphex Twin samples into distant memories. Harvest floats between rain, rap echoes, and woozy drops. Old Growth and Durin’s Tower explore found textures and transforming bass. Complex, spacey, nostalgic—trap reimagined through filtered dreams and forest ghosts. noizyme
Every instrument is happily dancing and bouncing in these songs, while the bass keeps us on the tracks.
For me, it's genius. it's like for the first time since long, someone speaks my language. The perfect balance between beat, melody, kitsch, party, ...
The album is a story as well, you can follow the journey from the first till the last song, it's one smooth mix through different landscapes. Jonasan
