First of all, this record represents part of Dave's major arcana; I consider this one of his major releases. I feel like this is a listening record – the music is timeless and gets more interesting the more I hear it. This is one of my favorites. The vinyl release is simply jaw-dropping. It's made with the new vinyl formulation that has much less surface noise than records of the past. Its perfectly mastered. I'm upgrading my whole system just to be able to properly play it.

A warped forest journey—Everglade March opens with trap and panning bass like a lightsaber slicing Aphex Twin samples into distant memories. Harvest floats between rain, rap echoes, and woozy drops. Old Growth and Durin’s Tower explore found textures and transforming bass. Complex, spacey, nostalgic—trap reimagined through filtered dreams and forest ghosts.

I can't stop listening to this album. It's so good. So many different amazing songs. Yheti can turn such small amounts of time into massive complex journeys. Signals from above grew on me over time a great deal and I think that is always a special and mysterious thing.

A tangled forest of sound—“Tanglewood” rattles heads with hypnotic bass and tribal textures, while “Spanish Moss” warps square waves into mossy trap grooves. “Temptation” and “Honeydust” explore distraction and soul. “Starlight Lake” closes dreamlike—shaky, surreal, and masterfully mixed.
