Our Decline 03:11
I saw you stare at your reflection in the window You reveal more than I want to see I don’t believe, even though I heard you say You’re stronger on your own Shared a thought, had a word with your shadow It listened long enough to disagree As I watch the pieces fall, you say: You’re stronger on your own You’re better off alone I walk ahead, but you never want to follow You’d never travel with a fool like me I heard you say, when there’s no pain, your heart is hollow I’m here by myself I don’t remember when my thoughts became so shallow Conscience fading with my memory As the pieces hit the ground, you say: You’re stronger on your own You’re better off alone So keep your pain, and I’ll keep mine Forget the guilt that we assign We’ll leave it here, without a fear ‘Cause this is Our Decline
2.
Heard you saying what you came to say without apology Watched you losing at the game you play, for lack of honesty You deceive Release your poison and hope that we believe Empty words from a charlatan, a new conspiracy Captivate and indoctrinate, but it’s your vanity I despise Exploit our worries and widen the divide When the lies you tell finally come back to eat you, I’ll be watching still As those you hurt find comfort in your demise Power to be claimed Anger to inflame Apathy to blame for it all Mission undefined Blind leading the blind See the pride, but soon comes the fall Watch Them Fall
3.
Did you see? Did you feel the shame? Did you stay, did you run, or did you embrace the pain? Are you ever gonna feel the same? Is it too far gone to be? Lock the door, keep the storm outside Turn away, pull the shade, and we’ll pray for better things Fall in line, and we’ll march to the beat of the perpetual newsfeed This is where we’ll stay Shelter In Place today We can hide, we can lock ourselves away We’ve got everything we need in here Found a place where we’re safe; we never have to fear And I’ll never look outside again, ’cause the world’s in here with me This is where we’ll stay Shelter In Place today Never go outside We’ve got everything we need in here…

Misfortune 01:57
I don’t want to listen while you waste my time I can do that on my own I don’t really want to share my thoughts with you I’d rather be alone Heard all the stories of what used to be In your pathetic history Seeking confrontations with the friends that you forsake Talk about yourself again; I’ll try to stay awake It’s my misfortune that you’re here with me And I can’t hide my apathy And I’m disgusted that you’re here with me But I won’t feed your vanity Heard all the stories of what used to be In your pathetic history

How far are we gonna go? Now we’re driving to the sun Are you ever gonna care? she said. Listen to the road And the weather in the wind The radio is mine, I said. We’ll waste our time ‘Cause it’s everywhere we go. We’ll dig our graves, And no one will ever know. We’ll never turn away; We’re heading for the end. No time to take a break, I said. No reason to complain. You can find another way. You can leave it all behind, she said. Ben Wrecked - Vocals, Guitar Brett Moore - Guitar Matt Fish - Drums, Driver Peter Woodward - Bass, Vocals How far are we gonna go? Now we’re driving to the sun. Are you ever gonna care? she said. Listen to the road And the weather in the wind. The radio is mine, I said, I said.

I’m alive, but I hide Among The Dead I can read, but I choose to be misread And I’ll try not to be complicated I can always be a fool for you I don’t want this to be overstated You can disregard my point of view I can see and still not comprehend I can love and still not find a friend You can try not to be aggravated If I promise not to make a scene My mouth is early, but my mind’s belated And you’re always somewhere in between Then, when history gets in the way, Words don’t leave me with a thing to say I can hear it like a voice that’s calling I can see it like a new day dawning No one here needs anything from me I’ll be leaving with my sanity I can’t think of anything I need from you
7.
Let’s talk about the state I’m in All I have seen and where I’ve been The times that get me thinking are the times alone And I admit it’s true, I guess My mind’s an incoherent mess Don’t let the lights deceive you ‘Cause there’s no one home I thought about you, About how much I hated you Every day, the rage in me would grow I listened to you talking shit And wondered if you’d ever quit You bitched and moaned and made me wish I’d stayed at home You talked so much you’re out of breath Almost complained yourself to death No wonder no one likes you, and you’re here alone While talking to you, I can see through you You’re such a clown; you don’t have a clue I think about you, I think about how I hate you And how much I want you to know I used you up and bled you dry Now you can go away and die Forget you ever knew me—just leave me alone And I admit it’s true, I guess My mind’s an incoherent mess Don’t let the lights deceive you ‘Cause there’s no one home There’s no one home No one home
8.
Hostility—the gift you bring me And how I paid, but this you’ll give for free We’ve had this conversation Too many times before A little agitation And now it’s total war with you Out Of The Blue You blame me for the things I could be I fell into this trap you set for me I heard the accusation And I won’t answer your Demand for confrontation But it’s a losing war with you Out Of The Blue
9.
Cut Down 02:57
I feel the tension build, and then You waste your words on me again And though I struggle to define this feeling, You’ll get the message that I send You made your point; your case is strong But then the insults came along Now that it’s started, there’ll be no retreating When neither one of us is wrong So this is the fight You promised me tonight Reason will be the first casualty Our words cut deep With no apologies Cut Down, you’re in the fire with me The words we abuse The arguments we choose To crush what’s left of our dignity As curses ignite We’ll laugh just to spite Cut Down, you’re in the fire with me

Useless 02:31
Last time I think of this today I can’t find the words I want to say No one to thank, no one to blame Just another day, and I still feel the same Useless as I seem Well, I don’t want to know Found a dream that won’t let go I woke up long enough to see Nothing in this mess belongs to me I took the chance; I knew the cost Now I can’t take back the time I lost Lost inside a dream That still won’t let me go Worth more than life to me Now this is all I have to show From this life I loved so long ago No one to thank, no one to blame Just another day, and I still feel the same Lost inside a dream That still won’t let me go Worth more than life to me Useless as I seem Well, I still want to know Found a dream that won’t let go

Monotony 02:46
So I struggle through another day You know I always seem to find a way to make it through How much longer can I wear this face? Same old story in the same old place It’s nothing new I never thought that I could be Monotony Nowhere to go, no one to see I never thought that I would be Monotony So this is how it ends for me Play the games that I don’t want to play Say the words that I don’t want to say I stay in line The price I pay for my security A testament to the maturity I can’t deny

What To Fear 03:19
Breakdown, welcome to insanity Wake up, face the inhumanity This time, nothing’s gonna save us from you Tear down everything that came before Stand up, words will never win this war This time, nothing’s gonna save us from you Divided, misguided By those who taught us What To Fear Guilty, no one here is innocent Give up, the argument is impotent This time, nothing’s gonna save us from you No shame, no responsibility Kindness is just a liability No hope, nothing gonna save us from you Divided, misguided By those who taught us What To Fear Delusion, confusion Pray to the ones who lead us here Then disappear Divided, misguided By those who taught us What To Fear Delusion, confusion Pray to the ones who lead you here Then disappear
