The moonflower is a poetic lamp that comes to life in the absence of light. This was our first experience in product design and programming. This concept was inspired by the moonflowers that bloom at night. We combined elegant Origami flower forms with LEDs, which are controlled by Arduinos to light up anytime the lamp senses darkness.

Ayana is a part of the Mahua Art Gallery in Bangalore and deals in selling art prints. We were hired to create a logo to represent the business. The Puma Box (shown alongside) was accompanied by these info-graphics that showed a consumer how to transform his box to a bag. #Booyah!
In an effort to understand the lifespan of a packaging design, we explored concepts on how to extend the use of a Puma shoebox. Through simple design interventions, we found that modifying the shoebox into a shoulder bag would allow customers to reuse the packaging.
The first intervention is at the time of manufacture - by using materials that are durable, locally available and culturally relevant such as Khadi.
The second possibility is to reach out to buyers through DIY exercises. The use of simple accessories, adapted diecuts and instructional infographics transform this shoebox into a stylish and sturdy bag.
