You can customize your iPhone home screen aesthetic with widgets & aesthetic app icons! By using widgets, all kinds of information, such as weather information and calendar, can be displayed as widgets on the home screen. Here’s the easiest way to customize your iPhone home screen!

As you can see in the images below, you can make a simple, minimalist home screen as well as aesthetic, beautiful home screen. You can change app icons, and place frequently viewed information as widgets on the home screen.
In this article, we will show you how even beginners can easily customize your home screen as you like!
How to add widgets to your iPhone home screen
Actually, no special application is needed if the widget is a stock application provided by APPLE, but If you want to customize widgets more to your liking, you will need to download the dedicated App for customization.
After trying over 50 different customization apps, I recommend an app called “WidgetClub”.
With WidgetClub, all widgets, icons, and wallpapers are all-in-one packages, so you can easily change them without the hassle of collecting materials for customization. In this article, we will show you how to customize your home screen using WidgetClub.
Open WidgetClub App and Tap “+” button and Select “Widget”
Please select the widget size from 3 sizes of widgets in S,M,L, and select one from various kinds of widgets.
Edit screen will be displayed, you can choose the photos, background color, text color, and font for the widget. (For example, I select the back ground image, font and font color.)
After editing the widget, tap "Set", followed by "Widget Setting Frame". (It is useful to remember the size and number of the widget frame you set. Our example is Small #8.)
From here, the way to add widgets differs between iOS17 and iOS18! See the one that fits your version.
Hold down the home screen then Tap the “+” button in the upper left corner.
Search for and select ”WidgetClub”.
A list of candidate widgets will appear. Select the widget you set, and tap the "Add Widget" at the bottom.
(Starting with the smallest widget, the 20 widgets are displayed for each size in order from left to right. Large widgets like M and L are displayed on the right side, so you need to swipe to move to the right. You can move faster by using the” ... “symbol pointed by this yellow arrow!)
Done!The widget is added to the home screen!
For iOS18
Hold down the Home screen.
Tap "Edit" in the upper left corner.
Tap "Add Widget".
Search for "WidgetClub" in the search box.
Move left or right to find the widget you wish to set. The widgets are displayed from left to right: 20 frames for the S size, 20 frames for the M size, and 20 frames for the L size.
Once you find it, tap "Add Widget" at the bottom and done!
Use the Shortcuts app, which is always included on iPhones with iOS 14 or higher. “Shortcuts” app is a service that allows you to automate an action by setting a rule.
Open the “shortcut” app and Tap the “+” button in the upper right corner.
Tap the "Search Actions".
Search for "open app" in the search bar and select it.
Tap on 'App' in the blue text. Then Search and select the app you want to set.
Tap the down arrow at the top and “Rename" to change the name. (Make sure to name it something that will help you understand what it is a shortcut for!)
Again, tap the down arrow at the top and "Add to Home Screen”.
Select "Photo Icon" and tap "Choose Photo”.
Tap the image you wish to set as the icon. If you want to change the display name on the home screen, you can edit it by tapping the text area below the icon 📝.
After you finish editing, Tap “Add” in the upper right corner.
Done! New app icon you set is added to your home screen!
Please repeat this for each app icon!
Please note that when you change the app icon, the notification batch in the upper right corner will no longer be displayed!

How to remove the original app icon from the home screen
Here's how to remove the original app from your home screen after changing the app icon!
Hold down the app icon until the icon shakes, then tap the minus button that appears in the upper left corner of the app.
Tap "Remove from Home Screen”
(Don’t tap "Delete App", because that would be the same as uninstalling it!)
