The Futo in GTA V is a small two-door coupé with design elements based on the 1983-1987 Toyota Corolla Levin AE86 and the 1983-1985 Nissan Skyline DR30 RS Turbo. The front bumper features a central intake with three black horizontal separations and various rectangular vents around, with a small extender around the bottom side.
The upper section of the car has a central grille with three black horizontal separations, while the sides feature flared wheel arches and plastic details. The interior replicates the AE86 dash and has a MOMO MOD. 07 racing steering wheel.
The car has bulletproof windows, and while it is not the most maneuverable, it compensates with bulletproof windows that can provide some protection from enemy fire.
The Futo has received improvements in GTA V, boasting higher top speeds and acceleration than its GTA IV rendition. Despite this, it is still outclassed by most sports cars in the game and supercars in terms of speed and power. However, it is still an excellent choice for cruising and as a getaway vehicle due to its small size and maneuverability.
It is also great for racing on courses with more turns than straights, thanks to its more responsive braking. The Futo's 4-cylinder engine and high-performance injection produce a high-revving and smooth engine sound.

The Futo can be found driven around by NPCs mostly in Los Santos.
Can be sometimes found parked at the parking lots of the Port of Los Santos.
"Futo" is also an anagram of tofu, possibly referencing the Toyota AE86 featured in the Initial D series, where the Toyota AE86 was used both for drifting and tofu delivery by the protagonist, Takumi Fujiwara.
The 20-valve, 4 cylinder engine with 4 throttle bodies is a clear reference to the 16v-to-20v 4A-GE swap which is commonly swap into the Toyota AE86 from the Japanese-market only AE101 (Silvertop) and AE111 (Blacktop).
The Futo can be modded at Los Santos Customs to resemble the GT variant in GTA IV. However, the only different variants that the player can find on the streets are versions with and without the small lip spoiler on the rear.
