An evolution of Meramon, this Digimon's body is cloaked in blue, high-temperature flames. The flames that arise from its body blaze brightly in blue, as these flames burn hotter than Meramon's. Its offensive and defensive abilities have risen considerably, which in conjunction with the strength of its flames, bestow upon this power-type Digimon tremendous destructive power. Although Flame Digimon tend to be weak against Aquatic and Ice-Snow type Digimon, fighting the strength of Death Meramon's flames with them is as futile as pouring water on a hot stone. Its Special Move is melting the heavy metal within its body, and spitting it out at the enemy (Heavy Metal Fire).

After getting a second EX8-062 Piemon ACE through her EX8-057 Pico Devimon's effect, Reina intended to Blast Evolve Death Meramon into it during her next turn. However, Suzune stopped this play by using her EX8-028 Skadimon's effect, sending it into the security stack to unsuspend Skadimon.

Digimon Story: Time Stranger[edit]

A Devimon and a Death Meramon serve as the gatekeepers of the Dark Castle. In the original timeline, they're already dead by the time Yuki Dan/Yuki Kanan arrived there, but after going back in time, they arrive before their death and instead avoid them through Gekomon's teleportation.

Death Meramon fought in the "A 100th body worth celebrating!" round of the "Greatest Omega Carnival" side mission. Before the fight, Etemon says it is the High-Rise Colosseum's watchman making its return. Death Meramon calls the Agent its 100th victim and wants to celebrate it, only to then start madly raving about the Agent being dead and a ghost and deciding to kill them in fear. Other than normal attacks, Death Meramon can use Volcanapalm III. After losing most of its health, it'll use Triple Actions. It is weak to Electricity and Null, resists Steel, and is immune to Fire.

Death Meramon is also an obtainable Digimon. It can be scanned in the Spiral Waterway area of Central Town. It evolves from Meramon, Wendimon, or Birdramon, and can evolve into Beelzebumon, Boltmon, or Avenge Kidmon.
