Korean drama

Korean drama (Hangul: 한국드라마; RR: hanguk deurama) or K-drama refers to televised dramas in the Korean language, made in South Korea, mostly in a miniseries format, with distinctive features that set it apart from regular Western television series or soap operas. Korean dramas can be set in contemporary times or in historical settings, the Korean word for the latter being sageuk (사극). Different genres apply to these two types, from romantic comedies and action series to fusion science fiction dramas.

South Korea started to broadcast television series in the 1960s. Today's mini deurama format of 12–24 episodes started in the 1990s, transforming traditional historical series to this format and creating the notion of "fusion sageuks". Korean dramas are usually shot within a very tight schedule, often a few hours before actual broadcast. Screenplays are flexible and may change anytime during production, depending on viewers' feedback, putting actors in a difficult position. Production companies often face financial issues.

K-Drama (rapper)

Anthony Regis Jones (born August 28, 1984), who goes by the stage name K-Drama, is an American Christian hip hop musician. His first studio album, Behind the Glory, came out in 2006. His Billboard chart debut album, We Fit: The Workout Plan, came out in 2010. His most recent album, Winds & .Waves, was self-released and charted on a Billboard chart.

Early life

K-Drama was born on August 28, 1984 as Anthony Regis Jones, in Cincinnati, Ohio, where he still continues to reside. His father is Anthony Kent Jones and mother is Darlene Carol Jones (née, Beatty). He has an older half-brother on his maternal side, Aaron Lee Beatty. He has another older half-brother on his paternal side, Kenga Patreece Jones.

Personal life

He is married to Charde Jones, and together they have three children, residing in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Music career

His music career started in 2006, with the release of Behind the Glory, with Holy Hip Hop Records. The next major studio release from him, We Fit: The Workout Plan, was released by Cross Movement Records in 2010, and it charted on several Billboard charts. His next project, was a self-released album, Winds & .Waves, which came out in 2013. This got on one Billboard chart.
