Feb. 9—Six former Pitt women's basketball players have brought legal action against the school and head coach Tory Verdi, alleging mistreatment that they say included psychological abuse, retaliation and a damaging team environment ....
Perkins also claims Verdi removed her from the team without due process after she complained about the team environment ... It is also alleged in the lawsuit that Verdi tried to create a racial divide amongst the team.
