Product description

Product Description

1. It encourages the sucking action which is important for current jaw development. To help with the birthing process, all babies are born with under-developed jaws. The mouth, tongue and jaw muscles are then developed by the natural sucking action used in breast-feeding, which makes the baby ‘work’ for his feed. By developing these muscles correctly, there will be sufficient space for correct development of the teeth. It is this natural sucking action that the NUK teat mimics, so feeding from a NUK teat will encourage healthy oral development.

Only bottle he would take

Only bottle he would take
I tried lots of different bottles for my son and this was the only one that he would take. You have to be very gentle with the teat and NEVER put it in the dishwasher. My partner did and it was unusable. Also if buying replacements, be careful to get the right type, I brought the thicker ones by accident as description wasn't very good

Every baby is different but I throughly recommend giving these NUK bottles (Currently only £2.50) a try.

Our second baby is 2 months old and he struggled with the breast and bottle because he had a hard to detect tongue tie, a high palette and a few other medical issues and due to all of this he was sadly forgetting how to breastfeed but we persevered.

With the tongue tie sorted our baby did get better but a mixture of breast milk, breast milk in a bottle and formula continued to make it difficult for him to figure out what to do.

During this time we saw so many helpful practitioners and we learnt SO much about the shape of breast nipples and baby’s mouth and now it’s clear to me that this shape of nipple is definitely the best.

    Briefly:
    1. The Medela Calma bottle was our first choice simply because during the stressful times it was readily available with the express machine. It was good, the unusual teat shape helped to ensure our baby continued to make an effort whilst sucking (to get enough milk) as opposed to believing if he just pretended he’d still get milk - otherwise he would struggle when he was on the breast.

    2. Tommee Tippee nipples - We had these left over from baby one. They worked great, far easier to put formula scoops in, but we could tell he was still sucking on the tip of the nipple which isn’t what it’s like on an actual breast. We also only had size 1 nipples and rather than spend £3 on getting a couple for variflow nipples I thought we might as give another bottle a try to see if it improves the speed of his intake.

    3. So we bought the NUK bottle and we know our little one loves it. He takes so much more comfortable drinking from it, he drinks with far more gusto and he drinks more because he doesn’t get tired as he did with the other bottles. The latex teat is soft but we did buy silicon ones as backup just in case he was allergic to latex. We also bought the ‘large’ just in case the ‘medium’ was frustrating him.

Back to where I was. Definitely give the NUK bottles a try first.

My little madam used to take tommee tippee bottles and AVENT. Then refuses AVENT and stuck to TT bottles. Then when she hits 10 weeks she point blank refuses all bottles completely. So after trying 2 other makes, I went looking on then net and it seems the NUK is a firm contender for stubborn breastfed babies refusing the bottle. This was so far the only bottle she lets me put into her mouth compared to the rest (yet she till spits the milk out and refuses to drink) However, after 2 weeks persisting with my LO and a week return to work, she finally takes the bottle!! Hoorah!!! Easy to clean, light and is as good as any other make in terms of durability. The latex teat is soft and she clearly prefers the latex to the silicone (I have also NUK with silicone teat). The cap is also easy to take off. The hole from the teat is on the side so careful when shaking the bottle.

I like these bottles - good small size with a nice soft teat - I only wish my daughter would agree. However she hasn't accepted any bottle yet and my money is on this one being the one she is most likely to relent into drinking from. She does enjoy chewing in the teat and it hasn't got damaged - yet.

Nice shape baby bottle and so useful to have latex teats for newborn.

It wasn't that my son struggled with all bottles, but he just didn't take easy to the bottle feeding after being mainly breast fed. I trawled the internet for advice on the best bottles so I wouldn't spend my nights worrying about whether or not he'd ever take to a bottle so I could return to work. I needn't have worried...one particular growth spurt and he had it down but we continue to use this brand. It puts the milk to top of the throat and not directly to the back so chocking is minimal, and the latex teats are fantastic...probably as close to the breast as you can get. I'd recommend this bottle and teat for anyone whose baby isn't quite making an easy adjustment to the bottle...it doesn't have fancy anti-colic or air intake reducers...but it's so simple that these problems don't seem to have been a concern at all.

I was recommended this brand by my midwife when having feeding problems with my newborn. He wouldn't drink from it and still doesn't at 6 weeks. We had the same problem with Tommy Tippee. The Mam ones are the only that have worked so far. Hopefully it works later as it's the nicest looking bottle.

I've been breastfeeding my 7 month old since day 1 but for various reasons now need to stop and have been at the end of my tether trying to get him to take a bottle. We have tried around a dozen different brands of bottle and teat plus a fair few cups and he refused all of them until we bought the NUK bottle on a friend's recommendation. What a relief! The teat is much smaller than some brands that claim to make the transition from breast to bottle easier and being made of latex it is much softer than the silicone teats that come with most bottles these days. The most notable difference however seems to be that the teat is shaped towards the top of the baby's mouth and the hole is on the top of the teat rather than the end. This seems to mimic much more closely the way that milk comes out of the nipple and finally my son is drinking the full bottle of milk with gusto instead of tentatively sucking and then refusing as he did with other teats. I really wish that we'd known about NUK sooner. Have discovered that the teats also fit the Avent bottles we have so will reduce the amount of surplus equipment we will now be passing on!

We had trouble with our new born feeding, we were using mam size 1 bottles and she would feed for an hour to an hour and a half, I thought because the shape of the test and the flow. I knew she would get on more with this sort of teat and she got on with the little starter bottles well the hospital give you, these have been brilliant and she is back to feeding under an hour as assuming the flow is also a little faster. The bottles are nice and easy to hold, much preferred to the ones we had before.

    Iper soddisfatta e prodotto consigliato!
