Love the cooperation, highly recommended
We never played the first version of this game but found it through reviews an recommendations while looking for a great PS4 game to play with the children and family - as an alternative for the children that could play Mario Kart for the whole weekend on our old trusted WII. This game does the trick as its lots of fun trying to compose a meal in a while putting out fires and washing dishes.+ Easy to learn and understand, although I must say that our five-year old, although reasonably proficient with video games that are much more complex, struggles and lost interest initially.+ Casual game type where cooperation lies at the core, rather than competition – there are not that many video games with this attribute.+ Offers some culinary education as well – my daughter now thinks she can make sushi.+ Exciting game, with lots of challenges that lead to satisfaction or shouts of frustration while the timer ticks away.+ PriceThe drawbacks are limited to;- graphics of the video between gameplay are of low quality, the added narrative is boring. So every video sequence is too lengthy and not adding much to the game.So overall I'm very pleased with this delightful co-op experience. Loved to play it as its simple and intuitive. Our 9 year old daughter seems hooked after just playing a few rounds and has been asking constantly to put the game back on.

If you played overcooked, this is more of the same, if you didn't, this is something very different from other games.

The basic premise is simple, chop, mix, cook and serve meals against the clock in a variety of vibrant and challenging themed kitchens. The reality is a challenging and occasionally stressful bit always fun game. This MUST be played with other people, the fun, the challenge, is all in communicating with other players. It is online or local co-op and teo players can share a controller. I have played co-op with my wife where we take it quite seriously and multiplayer with the children (5 and 8). The youngest isn't really ready for it but that only adds to the chaos of four people shouting and panicking about rice and pancakes.

Levels take around five minutes each and slowly introduce new recipes and mechanics as you progress and unlock new chefs. There is no levelling system so you progress by improving your communication with other players and your understanding of each levels challenges.

A great game that has provided hours of family entertainment and a fantastic sequel full of puns, chaos and cooking.

This was an under the Christmas tree gift for all of the kids. They didn’t notice it until after all of their main presents were opened and they went scavenging for the last few items.

Now that they’ve started playing the game, they love it. Small ones, big ones even parents had a go in the kitchen. Plenty of excitement and fun.

Eldest got a little over eager in developing strategies and being selective in who he’d partner in two player games. I’m sure he’ll be OK eventually

Timhis game is a total blast. The mechanics are simple to get on top of, but the levels keep adding complexity, and it feels like it's going to be all too much, though never runs away from you. Star system allows you to add challenge for yourself by trying ti get 3 stars on every level, which is enough to make it compelling amd maddeningly addictive
