I love listening to this album. The music is from years ago, but it has a different style than you average groups of musicians. It's one of a kind, as far as I'm concerned. I was lucky to find the CD. Great for listening while relaxing.

“ドゥーブル”の隠れた名曲 ♪「キャプテン・オブ・ハー・ハート」を収録したアルバム『ブルー』。〈1985年リリース〉

♪「キャプテン・オブ・ハー・ハート」は、日本でもシングルとしてアルバムと同時リリースされており、そのEP盤の
解説には、「都会（まち）は醒めた夢に酔う。」 「ジャズ、ソウル等のエッセンスを小粋にブルー・バック。それが
“ドゥーブル”のユーロ・モダン・アコースティックだ！」とあった。（この文は、CD版の帯に於いても使用された。）

このアルバム『ブルー』について「叙情的なピアノや物憂げなシンセ・サウンドは1980年代中期の音楽シーンを
良く表している。」と、何処かに感想があったのを憶えているのだが、正に、1980年代中頃の想いを今に伝える
ドゥーブルの名盤であると思う。
“ドゥーブル”の音楽は、New Wave でもあり、AOR でもあり、Jazz Pop バンドであったりもするから不思議だ。
♪「キャプテン・オブ・ハー・ハート」を聴いているうちに、（“ドゥーブル”とは趣は異なるが）あの“プリンス”が手掛け
た女性ロックバンド“バングルス”(♪「マニック・マンデー」)、ドイツの“ファルコ”(♪「Rock Me Amadeus」)、ノルウェ
ーの“a〜ha”と云ったグループも同時期の音楽シーンに欠かせなかった事を思い出したりもする。
ボーカルのクルト・マルー氏は、“ドゥーブル”を解散後に、自身のアルバム『ソウル＆エコー』〈1995年〉に於いて
♪「キャプテン・オブ・ハー・ハート」をセルフ・カヴァーしている。 （*参照 → Kurt Maloo 『Soul & echo』）
また、クルト氏の2009年のアルバム『Summer of Better Times』も、とてもクールでお洒落なサウンドである。
ジャズ系のミュージシャンによるポップスは渋い。（“ドゥーブル”のメンバーはジャズ系のミュージシャンなのだ。）
