My 5 year old and I had a lot of fun putting this robot together! After doing a portion together, he was able to follow the directions and do a good portion of it by himself with me just checking over what he did. The instructions are really well done with pictures! My son has always wanted to build a robot so he was really excited to do this project! It took us a total of several hours over the course of a week or so. We worked on it in small increments. The remote worked well and controlled the robot fine. I didn't download the app to try it. There were extra pieces at the end, which is helpful since some pieces are small and easy to lose while building.
