The Spice Girls Reunion Is Officially Back on and We're Freaking Out

Stop right now, thank you very much — we have some major news that is sure to spice up your life. The Spice Girls are officially reuniting. Feel free to slam your body down and wind it all around — we'll wait. Last year, Scary, Baby, and Ginger were planning a Spice Girls reunion in honor of the 20th anniversary of arguably their best song ever, "Wannabe". They even had a huge concert planned at London's Hyde Park. However, a wrench was thrown in the plan when Ginger (a.k.a. Geri Horner) backed out for the birth of her second baby. Page Six reports that the reunion is back on due to some bittersweet circumstances, though.

Scary Spice, who is more commonly known as Mel B these days, recently split from her husband of ten years, Stephen Belafonte. According to Page Six, he's said to be an "unnerving presence" for the girl band of our youths. He might have even caused a fall out between Mel B, Horner and Emma Bunton, who go by GEM as a group now, because of his "controlling influence". Yikes. Now that the couple's divorce is pending, good vibes are flowing around the reunion. Horner even confirmed the big news, saying, “We’re not re-forming immediately, but in the near future.”

Although we don't have a date to mark in our iCal for the Spice Girls reunion — and, just like last time, Posh and Sporty have declined to sign on — our excitement is still so real. We're hoping a tour is in the works so all of us around the can say we'll be there. OK we'll stop the Spice Girls-themed puns now and go plan our perfect girl power-inspired outfits. Track pants and baby tees? Yes please.
