I get a lot of joy out of tracking down interesting photos from these conflicts.

Hell the UZI pictures were a surprise!

I'll bet a lot of those type 56 Chinese AKs are still in service today.

I need to get out my A-1 clone and shoot it. Oh, and build something with the other A-1 upper I have.
Thanks OP, you just cost me money.

Unusual, and very cool. I think that's a UH-1A, and it's cargo doors have been removed. I also think those troops are Montagnard. This photo was probably taken very early in the war.

ETA and that's quite the antenna a radioman is packing.

Did most of the small arms get De-milled or left behind?
That’s a shame.

Yeah my dad did 2 tours as well, 70-71 and 71-72. An incredible time for unconventional warfare for sure.

Great photos, thanks. Our company had a reunion a few years ago and the organizers put together a few videos of the guys photos.  Good music from the era.  While they are lengthy once you see the photos they just loop, so maybe 20 minutes each.

Great thread OP. I need to dig up the photos of my dad's time there in '66. He's got a few stories but doesn't talk about it very much.
