Raksha Bandhan

Raksha Bandhan --
a tiny thread to tie the worlds
of brother and sister

Today (and according to some, tomorrow Aug 21, 2013) is Rakhi Purnima. It is a great Indian tradition in which sisters tie 'rakhi' on their brothers' wrists with love, feed sweets and in reciprocation the brothers present gifts, money and promise to protect them. Sister-Brother relation is very sacred and has held families together over time. Happy Raksha Bandhan to all our readers.

Comment Thank you, Nathmal ji. A sister fills the home, and brother's life is often reshaped in a positive way. Thank you.
