Mémoire

I wrote an essay about the alteration of the appearance and the human body in contemporary art. Starting from its origin and analysing its many graphic shapes and forms, this essay is based on a semantical, historical and sociological study. Many artists are refered to. From Matthew Barney's Cremaster fantasy to Kim Kardashian's worldwide known rear, I draw connections and links between visual artists, musicians and sometimes just celebrities.
