Drawing Ability

I began by making several thumbnails to work out the composition of the final piece. Once I had decided on one, I toned the paper with light strokes. I then blocked out the general forms before erasing out highlights and finished the rendering by hatching in shadows. 

This piece uses hatching and varying line weights to render detailed forms.
