FUNGIS foi feita combinando a versatilidade de fontes grotesque com suas curvas e bojos cortados em algumas das letras, tornando-a neutra à distância e um pouco mais distinta de perto. FUNGIS não é bonita o tempo todo, mas é amigável e extrovertida. Tentei baseá-la no conceito da coloração branca da velha Maison Margiela: uma tela em branco, uma “evidência de opção, uma opção de expressão”, mas ao mesmo tempo é fácil e unicamente manchada com o passar do tempo, anulando sua neutralidade. FUNGIS é minha segunda fonte lançada e ela foi uma maneira de entender letras legíveis. Ela vem em 3 estilos [Regular, Bold, Heavy] e tem alguns glifos faltando, por estar ainda em desenvolvimento. FUNGIS was made by combining the versatility of grotesque fonts with her curves and cut bowls in some of the letterforms, making her neutral from a distance and a bit more nuanced up close. FUNGIS is not pretty all the time, but she is friendly and outgoing. I tried to base her on Maison Margiela’s concept of the color white: a blank canvas, an “evidence of option, an option of expression”, but at the same time it is easily and uniquely stained by the passage of time, canceling its neutrality in a way. FUNGIS is my second released font and she was a way for me to understand legible letterforms. She comes in 3 styles [Regular, Bold, Heavy] and has a couple glyphs missing as she’s still in development. Free for commercial and personal use.
